Contracts WITHIN the Statute of Frauds
1.  Promise in consideration of marriage
a.  A promise to do something or refrain from doing something if                     we marry
2.  Promise by executor/administrator to pay an obligation of the estate                 from non-estate funds
3.  Promises to answer for the debts of another (guarantees)
a.  Exception – if basic purpose was to benefit the guarantor then                     not within the Statute of Frauds
4.  Service contract not capable of being performed within a year from the                 time of the contract
a.  Early termination is irrelevant
b.  Task K’s – always look at what might have happened with                     unlimited resources
c.  Lifetime K’s – not within the Statute of Frauds
5.  Transfers of an interest in real estate of a term of MORE than one year
a.  Does not have to be a fee simple interest
6.  Sale of goods for $500 or more
